Re-Kraft 2021

After careful and thoughtful consideration of this year’s submissions, the Dept. of Public Art was chosen as our 2021 Re-Kraft winner.

The Dept. of Public Art
The Department of Public Art is a volunteer-based organization that creates art throughout Binghamton, NY and supports local arts and artists. We were able to completely revamp their website. Their previous site was sparse and had limited information and functionality. It was our goal to give this important organization the recognition they deserve.
Through a combination of imagery and organic shapes as a visual element on the site, we were able to fully showcase the work that the Department of Art creates. In addition to the standard Gallery pages, we were able to create an interactive map tool for them that pinpoints the mural locations, as well as providing imagery and descriptions, which encourages users to get out and find the murals throughout the area.
